Ways to work together

Every path starts with a consultation, a short conversation to see what you're looking for and whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll do my best to point you toward someone who is. To start, email goldenelevationcounseling@gmail.com.

For clients

1. Individual therapy

One-on-one sessions for adults working through trauma, religious harm, identity, relationships, and life transitions. We'll work at your pace, with your values and identity at the center.

Format: In person in Memphis, TN, or by telehealth for clients located in Tennessee

Email to set up a consultation

2. Relationship therapy

Support for partners and relationships of any gender, identity, and structure: communication, conflict and repair, trust, and navigating differences in faith or family.

Format: In person in Memphis, TN, or by telehealth for clients located in Tennessee

Email to set up a consultation

3. Religious trauma intensive (yearly, three days)

Once a year, I lead a three-day intensive focused on religious trauma. It's concentrated time, held together with others, to slow down and put words to what happened in faith spaces, at your own pace. You don't have to keep, change, or leave your faith to take part.

An intensive may not be the right fit during a crisis or when ongoing weekly support would serve you better. We'll talk that through together before you join.

Email programs@ehcmemphis.com to ask about the next intensive

4. Young People's Intensive (planned for 2027, at Experiential Healing Center)

A three-day, somatic-based group experience for young people, held at Experiential Healing Center in Memphis. It's a space to slow down, get to know yourself, and work through past experiences alongside others, with body-aware practices, group processing, and time outdoors. We're planning the next one for 2027.

Email programs@ehcmemphis.com to join the interest list

5. Process groups

I run ongoing process groups: small groups where members talk through what's coming up for them and practice connecting with others in a supportive space.

Email to ask about joining a group

6. Reiki sessions

I'm a Reiki Master practitioner and offer Reiki sessions. Reiki is a gentle, hands-on or hands-near practice where you rest fully clothed and simply notice what comes up. Reiki can be a session of its own, or, if you're a therapy client and want it, part of our work together. It's a complementary practice, not a replacement for medical or mental health care.

7. Workshops & speaking

Talks, trainings, and workshops for workplaces, faith communities, community groups, and clinicians, plus guest lectures for master's-level counseling programs. Topics include:

  • What is religious trauma? Naming religious harm without attacking faith
  • Men's mental health: retiring the myths that keep men from reaching out
  • LGBTQIA+-affirming care: what affirming actually looks like, in practice and in community
  • Trauma-informed basics: fight, flight, freeze, and fawn, and how stress responses show up at work and at home
